The BHK-90-A scissors range covers general office, household and education use across UK public sector organisations and EU contracting authorities. Built around a single consistent construction standard, the range allows procurement teams to specify one product family while covering different blade lengths, handle formats and user groups across departments and sites.
Comprising four core blade lengths — 130 mm (BHK-90-A-100), 165 mm (BHK-90-A-101), 210 mm (BHK-90-A-102) and 250 mm (BHK-90-A-103) — with pointed and rounded tip variants, the range covers office, household and classroom requirements from a single specification.
With scissors, the difference between a good product and a poor one is rarely the steel. It is the pivot. The pivot sets how the two blades meet along their length, and if the tension is wrong the scissors cut cleanly at the base and fold paper at the tip. It is invisible in a photograph and obvious within a week of use. We specify and verify pivot tension on every production run, and test the cut using only the final centimetre of the blade — the fastest reliable quality check there is.
For education supply, blade profile matters as much as blade performance. The range includes rounded-tip school scissors manufactured to EN 71 requirements for children’s use, alongside standard pointed-tip office formats. Age suitability and safety markings are agreed at specification stage and verified at inspection.
